Good to meet you:  I'm Ken Paul.

I set-up Hozzby based on 20 years experience as a global HR leader.   I’ve set and led the people agenda in three businesses that were significantly scaling-up.  I thrive in helping organisations challenged by their growth: where change is inevitable; where ideas are plentiful; and where moving at a pace is essential. It’s hugely rewarding helping to drive business-led HR projects. Helping  those businesses and the people within them flourish and prosper. That gives me a real buzz. And it’s why I built my career in business, practising HR.

Not everyone's a fan of HR.  Indeed some people are suspicious of HR. We get that. And we're out to throw a different light on what HR can do for a business.  

Our philosophy is that we're business people first; business people who happen to work in HR,  We'll  strive to understand your business goals first.  Identifying the people impacts and issues (and any others where we can).  And then provide you with the simplest most pragmatic approach.  Of course we'll make sure everything is compliant but your standards, and ours, will likely exceed any legal obligations.  

People have expectations of their bosses and their companies. They want to know how they're doing, that they're developing and that they're being recognised and rewarded fairly. They also want to enjoy being at work and feel part of something. If they need help they will expect to get it. They want to know the good stuff and the bad too.  And they're right to expect all of this,  

As an employer or manager it's not always easy to get this right, particularly when things are moving quickly and changing.  Which is where we can help.  We understand people and what makes them tick.  And we understand your challenges too.

HR is on of those skills that is  very much transferable between sectors. But we guess you might like to know where we've done most of our work. It's mainly been in:  information technology, cybersecurity, biotech, marketing tech,  distribution and publishing.
